Signals that tell you a redesign is worth it
01Most Finnish SMB websites benefit from a redesign every 3-5 years. The exact timing depends on how many of the signals below match your current site. One signal is meaningful — two or more usually means the redesign pays for itself.
- Site does not work on a phone, or load times exceed 3 seconds
- Brand has changed but the site has not (new logo, new colors, new positioning)
- Search Console shows declining visibility over the last 6 months
- New services or products are not represented, or are buried on subpages
- A competitor moved past you in search results and their site looks visibly more modern
- Customers complain on the phone that they 'cannot find anything on the site'
- Maintenance is expensive, or the original vendor is unresponsive
